Cape Town Websites ("we", "us") respects your privacy and complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us — name, WhatsApp number, email address, business name.
- Information about your project — current website, budget range, sector.
- Standard website analytics — pages viewed, referral source, device type, aggregated only.
How we use it
- To reply to your quote request and deliver work you engage us for.
- To send you invoices, project updates and, where you opt in, occasional useful emails.
- To improve our website and understand which pages are helpful.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share information only with service providers we need to run the business — hosting, email, invoicing and analytics platforms — all of which are POPIA-compliant.
How long we keep it
Quote enquiries: 24 months. Client project files: seven years, as required by the South African Revenue Service for tax records. You can request deletion of any information not required for legal compliance at any time.
Your rights under POPIA
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
- Ask us to delete information that isn't legally required.
- Object to processing for direct marketing.
- Complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
