Websites for Online Stores

An online store built for South African rands, South African couriers, and South African card behaviour — not a template that pretends we're in Ohio.

The specific problem

Off-the-shelf Shopify themes handle US payment gateways beautifully and South African ones like an afterthought. Every extra field a customer has to work through drops conversion. Building for how South Africans actually check out matters more than which platform is trendy.

What your website actually needs to do

  • Yoco, PayFast or Peach Payments (we'll recommend based on volume)
  • Local courier delivery options
  • Clear final pricing display
  • Mobile checkout tested on real Android devices in Chrome and Samsung Internet
  • Product variants, stock management and admin dashboard
  • Abandoned-cart email flow

Online Stores: questions we get asked

Which payment gateway is best?
It depends on volume. Yoco is easier to set up and usually cheaper under R100k/month in sales. PayFast and Peach get cheaper at scale but require more admin. We'll recommend based on your numbers, not on which we prefer.
Can customers collect from a pickup point?
Yes. Pargo is the most common setup — customers pick from a list of collection points near them and pay reduced delivery. We integrate this into checkout.
